A plant practice was conducted at the Central Laboratory of CDO Foodsphere Incorporated Brgy. Bulihan, Malvar, Batangas from November 2013 to January 2014. In the course of the training, the student developed skills in quality assurance practices at the Central Laboratory; acquired hands-on experiences in the conduct of physico-chemical evaluation of finished goods, observed microbial analysis of raw meats and finished products; gained knowledge in the physical and sensory evaluation of finished goods; and developed proper working attitude and social interaction with others. Importance of documentaion was also taught to the student as a part of quality assurance implemented in the company. Significance of each conducted analysis for the quality of the product was also instilled to the student during the plant practice. The skills, knowledge and traits acquired during the training would prepare the student for his future career as food technologist.
