Abstract: Bendo, Nocelito F., Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. MAXIMIZING PRODUCTION OF CORN BY INTERCROPPING WITH PEANUT UNDER LOWLAND CONDITION. Mr. Celso S. Crucido, Adviser. This farm practice project entitled, Maximizing Production of Corn by Intercropping with Peanut Under Lowland Condition was conducted at Palangue, Naic, Cavite from November 1990 to February 1991. The general objective of the project was to maximize produc-tion of corn by intercropping it with peanut and to develop the managerial skills of the student in prepa-ration for the conduct of his business in the future. An area of 1,500 square meter was prepared by two times plowing and harrowing with an interval of two weeks to allow weed seeds to germinate and undergo decomposition. Corn was harvested 70 days after planting and was sold green. Peanut was harvested 110 days after plant-ing and was sun-dried and shelled immediately. Both crops were marketed at Indang Public Market, Nine hundred corn ears were harvested and were sold at it P1.00/ ear. On the other hand, peanut produced 30 gantas which was sold at P60.00/ ganta. The gross sale from peanut and corn was 2,700. After deducting the overall expenses of P1,646.24, the project gave a total net income of P1,053.76.
