The student trainee conducted 460 hours of plant practice from November 10, 2003 to January 24, 2004 at CDO-FOODSPHERE Inc. located at 560 West Service Road, Paso be Blas, Valenzuela City. The plant practice provided the student hands-on experiences in the implementation of the quality assurance operation. However, the training was limited in the Research and Development activities of the company. The student developed skills in conducting product evaluation and quality assurance operation. Upon exposure to the different activities and analyses, technical skills were improved and the significance of monitoring the safety of the food was realized. The training provided knowledge on sanitation and implementation of Good manufacturing practices (GMP) in processing plant. The theories and laboratory experiments learned from the academe were better understood upon its actual application in the industry. The Plant practice therefore was really intended to give the student broad knowledge of her chosen field.
