The study was conducted to develop a management information system for Barangay Kayquit, as a solution to the problem encountered in their manual process and transaction. Barangay Kayquit experienced difficulty in preparing documents such as clearance and form, blotter reports, inventory of drugs or medicines and other problems that is commonly encountered within the barangay. Thus, the study aimed to develop a management information system for the barangay. It will have a central repository of all the record included in the system. Having this would make the file management efficient.
The system provides security to the information of the barangay like information of their residents, records of blotter reports and all the transaction that is commonly performed in the barangay through restricting access that based on their position in the barangay.
The researchers used the iterative methodology for the overall process in the development of the system. There are phases that researchers followed to achieve a reliable and a fully functional system. Those phases are: planning and requirements phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing phase, and evaluation phase. These phases have been followed by the researchers.
