Abstract: Bago, Michelle T., Applied Research IV (Agri-Science Curriculum), Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOB INVOLVEMENT OF PARENTS AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SELECTED DSAC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, SCHOOL YEAR 1995-1996 Adviser: Mrs. Emelita D. Del Rosario This research study was conducted to determine the relationship between job involvement of parents and academic performance of selected DSAC high school students school year 1995-1996. The total population in this study was 100 selected high school students whose parents were both working. It was found out in this study that job involvement of parents was significantly related to the academic performance of the respondents in the earlier mentioned school. Respondents whose parents were highly involved had low academic performance while those whose parents were low-ly involved performed satisfactorily. Age, sex, and mental ability are the variables related to the academic performance of the respondents. The older the respondents, the higher the academic performance. The female respondents had higher academic performance than males and they performed academically according to their level of mental ability. The respondents had satisfactory academic performance. 3ased on the findings of this study, the following are strongly recommended: 1) Since the level of job involvement of parents was found to have significant relationship with academic performance the researcher wishes to recommend that proper guidance be given by parents and guardians to their children. Parents should afford to have quality time with children; 2) There should be a full-time guidance counsellor in the high school; 3) Homeroom activities should be revived; and 4) Further studies using a bigger number of respondents whose parents
