Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at Labrador's Poultry Farm from January 23, 1995 to March 4, 1995 in Lumampong Halayhay, Indang, Cavite. A total of 477 birds was recovered out of 500 birds raised, with 4.6% mortality as noted. The birds consumed a total of 1775 kg of feeds or an average of 3.72 kg. A final body weight of 1.78 was recorded giving a feed conversion efficiency of 2.15 per bird. After 41 days of providing the birds with proper care and management, the birds were sold in liveweight basis. The project had a gross income of P34,861.46 with an actual expense of P27,356.58. A net income of P7,504.88 was realized resulting to a 21.52% return on investment. Problems encountered were abrupt change of weather and colds suffered by the birds but they were solved at once by adding another tank of gas for the heater and old newspaper to conserve heat for the birds and by giving them medicine as prescribed by the College veterinarian.
