A study was conducted to know the exposure to social networking website of the participants, evaluate the level of social interaction of the student, and know the general point average of the students, determine if exposure to social networking websites status is significantly related to the academic performance of the students, determine if exposure to social networking websites status is significantly related to the level of social interaction of the students, and determine whether there is significant relationship between level of social interaction and academic performance of the participants. Descriptive correlation method of research was used to analyze the relationship of three variables and stratified random sampling was used to select the participants. A total of one hundred second year college students performed as participants of the study. A validated 30-item survey has ten scales with 3 items per scale.
Results revealed that exposure to social networking websites have no significant relationship to the level of social interaction and academic performance of the respondents; however, exposure to social networking websites and academic performance are significantly not related to the participants' level of social interaction. Results revealed that there is no significant relationship between the level of exposure to social networking websites in social interaction and academic performance of the students based on the total significance score of 1.000.
